Following continued growth, there is an opportunity for a confident individual looking to kick-start their career in the geo-environmental industry to join our team. Upon joining IGE Consulting, you will:

  • Able to apply a commercial appraisal to projects, ensuring that value for money is paramount in all work undertaken.

Your day to day responsibilities will include:

  • Co-ordination, supervision and management of ground investigations, including Phase 1 (desk-top) studies, Phase 2 (intrusive) investigations and subsequent monitoring and remediation works;
  • Ensuring the highest standards of health and safety are followed during all field work practices;
  • Accurate and precise recording of fieldwork data, and clear, concise presentation of such data;
  • Liaising with clients, subcontractors and staff in both office and field settings;
  • Preparing client reports, including environmental risk assessments, remedial recommendations, foundation recommendations and coal mining risk assessments; and
  • Assisting senior staff with preparations of reports, drawings, models and fee proposals.

The minimum qualifications for this position are:

  • A degree in Geology or related subject, ideally with practical modules encompassing field work;
  • A full, clean Driving License;
  • Based within an easily commutable distance to Manchester City Centre office.
