With a strong background in engineering geology and ground investigation, Alfie brings a practical, solutions-led approach to complex geotechnical challenges. As a Principal Geotechnical Engineer and Chartered Geologist, he plays a key role in delivering technically demanding projects across the UK.

Since joining IGE Consulting in 2018, Alfie has worked across a wide range of developments, including hospital redevelopments, commercial schemes and residential sites. He has particular expertise in coal mining risk assessment and ground conditions within the Cheshire brine district. His works focusses on understanding complex geological constraints and translating them into practical, buildable engineering solutions.

At IGE, Alfie leads on technically challenging projects, producing detailed reports, foundation assessments and slope stability analyses. He also plays an active role in training and developing team members, helping to maintain high technical standards across the business. Alongside this, he is focused on improving the use of GIS and data visualisation tools, enabling clearer interpretation of complex ground conditions and more informed decision-making.
