Andrew founded IGE Consulting in 2017 and is a Director and a Chartered Environmentalist with over 17 years’ experience in the geo-environmental sector. As both a business owner and technical lead, he combines strategic oversight with hands-on delivery across complex development projects.

Andrew specialises in contaminated land, geotechnical engineering and mining risk assessment, supporting clients from early-stage land appraisal through to remediation and regulatory approval. He has led hundreds of site investigations, delivering clear, practical solutions on challenging brownfield sites, including detailed quantitative risk assessments and foundation design.

His expertise also includes assessing ground risks associated with historic mining activity, where he advises on investigation strategies and appropriate remediation to ensure safe and viable development. Alongside this, Andrew provides detailed abnormal assessments, helping clients understand risk, control costs and maximise site value.

Known for his pragmatic and commercially focused approach, Andrew works closely with developers, contractors and regulators to move projects forward efficiently and with confidence.

He is motivated by solving complex ground-related challenges and unlocking sites for sustainable development, while leading and development IGE’s multidisciplinary team to deliver consistently high standards of advice and service.
